Developed by the Michael Dirr Breeding Program at the University of Georgia.
Landscape & Garden Uses

Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a, where this Crape Myrtle variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Dazzle Dwarf Crape Myrtles are exceptionally easy to grow and maintain when planted right and in the right spot. They’re not too picky about soil type however prefer a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and as much sun as you can give them. Light shade is tolerated but flowering is diminished with more shade. Maintenance is minimal, with very little if any pruning required for plants to maintain density and a nice form. That said, spent flowers can be removed to encourage a possible second flush of flowers. A light pruning before leaves emerge in early spring can help to maintain a more dense shrub. When established, plants are quite drought tolerant; only requiring supplemental water during prolonged dry periods during summer. As with all other crape myrtle, deer won’t touch the Dazzles.

Got my crape myrtle and was happy with it. The first one was sent by accident and it was white, but y’all quickly sent me another one for free and it had flowers and they are pretty pink just like I wanted. I have planted both and they are doing good. Thank you for acting quickly and doing the right thing. I will be ordering from this company again. Nice size plants and in good shape.
