High Fragrance Camellia Hybrid – 3 Gallon Pot

I have bought a number of plants this past year at this site. They have all come well packaged and in good condition. I cannot comment on the fragrance, since it is not blooming. Strangely enough, both our horticultural advisor and we were having absolutely no luck in finding a camelia grower here in Central Florida who would respond to our repeated attempts to contact them. We have yet to find out why. In any event, this is how we came to discover Wilson Bros on-line. Decades ago, we had purchased rose bush cuttings from a long-ago forgotten company. These plants were straggly but survived to grow into acceptable bushes after two years . . . so we were willing to take a gamble on Wilson Bros and are SO glad we did. Our camelias arrived FED EX in within four days and were in perfect shape. They were the promised size, have now been planted and appear to like their new location. My wife and I are both excited to see them bloom in due course. Kudos to Wilson Bros. Great service and quality product is becoming near impossible to find and count on these days, as we all know. I have ordered a lot of plants online- often receive weak tiny plants with underdeveloped root systems. I baby them until mature enough to put in the ground. I ordered two Camelia Hybrids High Fragrance from Wilson Bros Gardens because they were not available in my local nurseries. The plants arrived within just a few days carefully wrapped and in excellent health. The two were so nice I quickly ordered one more. The third bush arrived just as promptly. The third had ants in the box and bucket., but the plant was healthy and unharmed. When I notified Wilson Bros, they immediately responded to my message with many apologies. The ants were due to the rain they had gotten and not harmful. They then sent me a bottle of Neem oil and spray bottle to combat any further issues. I ordered this plant to bring a little bit of Georgia to our new home in Florida. When it arrived, it was packed very well and healthy – loaded with buds already. We planted this in honor of our Aunt who passed two days after it arrived and so eloquently have named it “Helen”. Beautifully one morning in Helen’s poolside container, she graced us with a surprise within 2 weeks of planting – a gorgeous, fragrant bloom.
