Description
Some plants just stand above the rest and that is the case with ‘King of the Ages’ Daylily. If you’re looking for a daylily that brings height to the garden this one towers to 38 inches tall! Each flower stem boasts a large cluster of long buds that open to large, 6.5 inch wide, fragrant, multicolor flowers in shades of peach, butter-yellow, apricot and red. Each flower has a red eye with matching red picotee edges around heavily ruffled petals. A site to behold! What’s more, this one is a rebloomer.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 36 to 38 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide, the King of Ages Daylily is ideal for use as an accent in or in groupings in garden beds or borders along paths and walkways. Also nice as a vertical accent with other sun-loving plants in mixed container gardens. A fine addition to daylily gardens, perennial gardens and cottage gardens.
Spacing: 18 inches for mass plantings or as a solid border edger; 36 inches or more for space between plants

Growing Preferences
When planted right and in the right spot, Daylilies are exceptionally easy to grow. Though they will perform well in a wide range of soil types and conditions, they prefer a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility. Full to mostly sun is preferred however plants will tolerate some lightly filtered sun or shade. We suggest at least 5 hours of direct sunlight for best flowering. Daylilies don’t require deadheading but the removal of spent flower scapes (stems) encourages heavier rebloom. When established, daylilies are moderately drought tolerant.
