Description
A kaleidoscope of sunset colors on the same bush at the same time, Sunset Horizon features large eye-catching flowers continuously from spring to frost that open bright yellow with red edges gradually fading to shades of pink and cherry red. The slightly fragrant flowers are self-cleaning so no pruning is necessary, unless you want to. Semi-glossy foliage has shown excellent disease resistance provided plants receive the morning sun. A vigorous grower and fabulous low-maintenance landscape rose anyone can grow, Sunset Horizon is a colorful accent or hedge in any sunny garden.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing to around 3 to feet tall and 3 feet wide, the Sunset Horizon Rose is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings or as a colorful hedge in landscape and flowering shrub borders and home foundation plantings.
Suggested Spacing: 2.5 feet apart for hedges; 6 feet or more apart for space between plants
Growing Preferences
The Sunset Horizon Rose is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and in full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, to avoid powdery mildew, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves. Afternoon shade or filtered sun is fine and appreciated in hot climates. We suggest 6 hours of direct sun light for best flowering.
Maintenance is minimal with no pruning required, though the plant can benefit from it. An annual pruning in late winter, at which time branches can be cut back to about 18 inches above the ground, will result in a fuller plant throughout the growing season. After this hard pruning, your rose will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of warmer spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers through the season is not necessary however will encourage more new buds and flowers.

This rose is the easiest rose I have grown so far. All I did was put it in a good size container, and it just took off. It blooms freely and is a strong rose. I had my rose blooming in a month.
